Our story

Farmers and winegrowers for several generations, it is Materne who has passed on to his daughters and grandchildren the love of the land and the Alsatian grape varieties. Thus, his daughter Régine and his granddaughter Elise took over the estate and are still committed to creating the vintages that make the Domaine famous and Materne proud.

"We are committed to passing on our values and knowledge to future generations, which are essential for our family. So wine is for us a vector of sharing and encounters, that's what we strive to perpetuate in each of our bottles..."

"In 1987, with the birth of his granddaughter Elise, Materne created a Cuvée in his name. He only kept 400 bottles. This year during the harvest we opened one of these precious treasures, with the pickers, in the middle of the vines... A pure wonder."
