The domain's short story
The history of the estate dates back to 1945, after the war, when two brothers decided to produce their first bottles of champagne. It was not until 1950 that our family moved in, with Simon and Raymond. They installed tanks that they buy second-hand in the Cognac vineyard.
The winemaker's pride
A family business for three generations, Charbaux Frères champagne grows vines on a wide variety of soils in the communes of Sézanne, Broyes, Allemant, Oyes, Villevenard and Congy. The main grape variety is Chardonnay. Planted on hillsides, the grapes benefit from a beautiful maturity. The two other grape varieties are Pinot noir and Pinot Meunier.
