The domain's short story
After a long interruption, the estate was bottled again in 1946. Since then, we have been making our Champagnes in barrels, favouring the fruit and authenticity of the terroir of Verzenay, the historic Grand Cru of Champagne. Realizing everything ourselves, we joined the Independent Winegrowers.
The winemaker's pride
As hands-off and natural as possible! Non-toxic and non-carcinogenic treatments for humans, tillage, grassing, use of natural yeasts, no chaptalization, parcel-by-parcel vinification in barrels, on lees, without fining or filtration. Late bottling to allow the wines to mature, a quest for balance, thanks to low dosage levels, generally extra-brut. In the end, only a few years are blended, to guarantee the authenticity of the annual expression of a terroir, through its old vines. Wine and nature decide, for the greatest pleasure of the palate.
