Passionate about wine, Olivia and Didier le Calvez acquired this wine estate in 2019, close to prestigious estates such as Domaine des Laurets (Rothschild family). The ideal terroir and the magnificent cellars are enough to convince the couple to wake up this sleeping beauty!
Anecdotes about the domain
A true child of the country, Didier le Calvez was born in Javer-lhac and has fond memories of his childhood and the holidays he spent in Cadaujac and Pessac-Léognan. Olivia le Calvez also enjoyed the benefits of the Haut Médoc during the family holidays of her childhood and remained particularly attached to the region. This intimate bond between the two of them with this land of vines has undoubtedly fuelled this return to their roots, like a tasty Madeleine de Proust.

The domain's short story
The vineyard extends over 21 hectares of which 3 hectares are wooded. We find a majority of Merlot, a Cabernet Franc of great quality but also Carménère, Petit Verdot and Malbec on vines with an average age of 25-30 years and two parcels of old vines of 75 years. Thanks to this terroir, we produce Puisseguin-Saint-Emilion and Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux whose quality is praised by many critics and guides. All the grape harvests are manual and the domain has obtained the organic farming certification in 2019 and we are now engaged in a conversion to biodynamic farming
