The domain's short story
Located in the heart of the Alpilles mountains since 1489. The estate is a testimony to the passage of men since Roman times, while the current building dates from the 18th century. The Château has been entirely renovated to welcome in its 10 suites prestigious guests, in search of a certain art of living. Château d'Estoublon is one of the great estates of the Baux-de-Provence appellation, living to the rhythm of the olive harvest and grape harvest. In addition to its roots in the foothills of the Alpilles, the work of the men reveals the character of the precious liquids born from the contrasts of a wild nature and a constantly perfected know-how. This is where the wines and olive oils of Château d'Estoublon with their exceptional aromatic profile are born. The agriculture is reasoned, organic and respectful. Eight hundred ewes roam the 300 hectares of our estate, guaranteeing a preserved ecological balance and a philosophy resolutely oriented towards the sustainability of our land. Under the technical direction of Anaïs Maillet, we continue our agricultural commitment and our environmental convictions through a conversion to biodynamic farming. The history of the estate, sometimes peaceful and often marked by wars, confrontations and successive frosts, is intimately intertwined with that of the Baux-de-Provence Valley, of which it is without doubt one of the most remarkable sites.
