When you taste Château de Javernand wines, you'll be transported on a stroll through the high cymes of the Beaujolais region, dotted with sculptures created by Pierre's wife, which undoubtedly help refine the growth of fruit in the vineyard. The wines produced in this idyllic setting are the fruit of a close friendship forged in engineering school between Pierre and Arthur.
Anecdotes about the domain
For us, wine is above all a story of pleasure and sharing. We therefore take particular care, from the vine to the bottle, to produce authentic wines full of generosity. The idea of sharing inherent to the Grappes community is therefore perfectly in line with our approach.
The domain's short story
The estate was bought by Auguste Faye, then a wine merchant, in 1917. He came to buy the harvest and fell under the spell of this estate located on the heights of Chiroubles. Arthur Fourneau is now the fifth generation of winemaker at the head of Château de Javernand. He is associated with a friend, Pierre Prost, also son of a winegrower from the South of Mâconnais.
The winemaker's pride
Château de Javernand is a family estate that produces authentic wines that respect nature, its terroir and its landscapes. Different vintages are to be discovered: Mâcon-Villages and Chiroubles, from the most fruity to the most full-bodied, including the cuvée nature... and soon Burgundy.
