Our family estate, Château Saint Nabor, is located on the right bank of the Rhône, more precisely in Cornillon, a small medieval village in the Cèze valley. We cultivate the emblematic grape varieties of the Rhone Valley... and some others!
All our grape varieties allow us to produce Côtes du Rhône and Côtes du Rhône Villages wines as well as IGP du Gard and IGP Pays d'Oc wines.
Our vineyard is planted on various soils, which brings all their personality to our wines.
All these elements combined with our winemaking hands allow us to offer you wines that highlight our grape varieties and our terroirs, they will perfectly match any occasion!
Our family estate in the Rhône Valley has a centuries-old history. We have been winegrowers from father to son for 6 generations, this passion has always been transmitted. We still have a bottle dated 1877! As far back as we can trace our family has always worked in the peasant world, mostly on a small scale and in a multicultural environment.
The planting of new parcels of vines to enlarge the estate and the abandonment of other production, in order to concentrate efforts on creating the direct sales cellar, is the work of Gérard Castor, a great player in the farming world and highly invested in the estate, which has earned him his reputation as a reference.
After nearly 40 years of development, Gérard Castor is joined by his sons, Jérémie and Raphaël, 6th generation, on the estate. With studies in viticulture/enology for both of them, they later distinguished themselves. After a professional degree in Management and Marketing, Jérémie went to work for 8 months in a winery in California. Raphaël continued with a wine tourism licence and will return to the estate following this one. Today, we, Jérémie and Raphaël are at the head of the estate, with the objective of producing wines of ever better quality by combining today's challenges with ancestral traditions!
The Cèze valley is a region rich in history and our estate is a fragment of this history, our vault is built on the remains of a priory dating back to the 11th century! Our new cuvée, the sparkling Muscat sparkling "7" owes its name to the arrival of Jeremiah's son, Jules, born in November 2016. He may also be a winegrower, and this cuvée celebrates the next 7th generation of winegrowers in the Castor family!
