Come and discover our wines, you won't be disappointed. For 4 generations, we have been passionate about our work and committed to producing high quality wines and exceptional vintages. Located in the Nantes vineyards, 5 minutes from Clisson, we offer a wide range of wines produced in an ultra-reasoned way: from the aperitif to the dessert, our wines will enhance your dishes. Our leitmotiv? The desire for a careful and respectful viticulture, combined with the exploration of viticultural variants. At the Domaine, we have always experimented in order to better understand our speciality: long maturation on lees. Today, we use the best vinification methods to create wines that allow the expression of our great terroir. Our wines are atypical thanks to a particular vinification, numerous tests and samples to always arrive at the best. If it doesn't meet our expectations, we don't make it! We work to achieve excellence, we harvest only when we like the grapes. A particular geographical position on land with different types of granite allows us to give a unique flavour to our wines. The estate is proud to be an independent winemaker, to have been awarded the High Environmental Value label and to be part of the Vignes de Nantes collective.
Maxime (Bruno's son) was infected with the vineyard virus at a very young age and it was natural for him to move in with his parents in 2009 after having worked there since 2001. The philosophy of the Domaine is not to produce a high yield but to seek excellence by always testing new blends before releasing a new wine. Contact and feedback from customers are therefore essential: passing on our passion and love of the trade at trade fairs and various events is an essential part of the life of the estate. We are keen to maintain our own identity: our wines are not classic and we accept this. Our wine culture is special. As the Nantes vineyard area is becoming more and more touristic, we are committed to working in partnership and to continue to serve our wines on great tables. Indeed, it is essential for us to make our terroir known to as many people as possible.
Bruno was quickly convinced that the Melon de Bourgogne produced great wines thanks to the long maturation on lees and also wines for ageing. This will become and remain one of the main characteristics of the wines of Domaine Bruno Cormerais. Convinced that new experiments could bring a plus to the vine and the wine, he carried out multiple yeast tests with the vineyard's research section to isolate the yeast strains specific to each terroir. A pioneer in the qualitative approach to vine growing, he was one of the first to work for the recognition of communal crus. The Clisson, a communal appellation, was born of this research from the 2009 vintage. Our family history is also reflected in our productions through the Bruno, Maxime and Tess vintages of which we are very proud. We plan to continue sharing our family history with you.
