The domain's short story
Working alongside his father from an early age, Gilbert has always been surrounded by vines and barrels. It was only in 1991 that he decided to vinify his first vintage on his own and to gradually expand his vineyard. Seduced by her husband's passion, Bernadette joined the adventure in 2003 and is now in charge of the commercial part. Today the estate is composed of about 6 hectares of vines distributed in AOP Saint Joseph red and IGP Collines Rhodaniennes Viognier, Marsanne, Syrah and Gamay. The domain has as a guideline to vinify only the grapes coming from a manual harvest and coming from their own parcels. This passion invades the whole family since their son Nicolas has just joined them in the adventure.
The winemaker's pride
Located on the heights of the Saint-Joseph appellation, the Colombet estate is a family vineyard that has been passed down for 5 generations. Taken over in 1991 by Gilbert and Bernadette, the estate now covers about 6 hectares. The style of the domain is rather to have supple and fruity wines, by seeking the pure expression of our various type of vines; Viognier, Marsanne, Syrah and Gamay.
