Both children of famous winemakers, they met during their studies. The years go by, the friendship endures and with it the desire for common projects like this "Carnivore" vintage! Between straightforwardness and spicy madness, a bit charming, this wine shows the young and lively spirit of Laure and Jean-Jacques. In the end, it's a wine that's a blast!

The domain's short story

During the XVIIIth and XIXth centuries, the AOP specifications had not yet been imagined, so the freedom was total! That's why when a Bordeaux wine was a bit thin, it was none other than a wine from the Rhone Valley that came to support it! It is by studying the history of their respective regions that the idea came to (re)discover this tradition brought up to date! This wine is of course produced in the Vin de France appellation, and allows to bring back to life an ancient practice often carried out at the time, that of hermitage wines. In short, these two young winemakers have taken history and added a touch of modernity, freshness and boldness! To taste the Carnivore cuvée is to adopt it!

The winemaker's pride

Laure Colombo and Jean-Jacques Dubourdieu are the daughter and son of two well known and recognized winemakers from the Rhône and Bordeaux regions. With this cuvée, Laure and Jean-Jacques manage to make a name for themselves by transmitting the passion of their terroirs by reviving an ancient wine tradition! It is a blend of two terroirs, the Rhone and Bordeaux, as their fathers did in the past! This is how they created the cuvée named "CARNIVORE". This catchy name gives birth to a marriage, not between two men, but between two terroirs. Indeed, we find 55% of Syrah from the Cornas cuvée and 45% of Cabernet-Sauvignon.
