The Daniel Reverdy estate is located in the commune of Verdigny, in the heart of the Sancerre region. We farm 9.30 hectares in AOC Sancerre Blanc, AOC Sancerre Rouge and AOC Sancerre Rosé. Our plots are mainly on white soil (clay and limestone).
The estate is family owned: Daniel - the father - planted 2/3 of the existing plots in the years 1980-1990. I joined him in 2000 after studying wine in Burgundy. In 2000, the estate sold its entire harvest to the trade. As soon as I set up, I wanted to develop the sale in bottles. Exhibitions, contests and word of mouth have enabled the Domaine to develop its sales. Today 65000 bottles/year are produced and sold worldwide!
Wine, I fell into it at a very young age. I never thought I'd do anything else.
My passion comes from happiness shared with family or friends over a glass, in a plot where you can see the vine evolve through the seasons, from the first grape juice to the bottling... All these little things that make us proud of our wines!
In Sancerre we are more than 300 winegrower families. With different types of soil, different ways of working, there are as many different Sancerre as there are winegrowers!
