Anecdotes about the domain
In Sancerre we are more than 300 winegrower families. With different types of soil, different ways of working, which means that there are as many different Sancerre as there are winegrowers!

The domain's short story
The Daniel Reverdy estate is a family estate. Its history begins when Daniel, Cyrille's father, planted two or three parcels in the 1980s and 1990s. His son joined him in the early 2000s after studying wine in Burgundy. He fell in love with wine from a very young age! Cyrill often says that he never questioned his future when he was young because he never thought of doing anything else. This passion emanates from the happiness shared with family or friends around a glass of wine, in a plot of land where you can see the vineyard evolve through the seasons, from the first juice of the grapes to the bottling... All these little things that make them proud of their wines! When Cyrill joined his father in 2000, the estate was selling all its harvest to the trade. As soon as he settled in, he wanted to develop the sale in bottle. So he left with his wines to tour France between shows, competitions and then quickly word of mouth allowed the Domaine to develop its sales. Today the yield is about 65000 bottles per year and they are sold all over the world! The work of the vineyard, from pruning to harvesting, from pressing to bottling, is carried out in the pure tradition and in the respect of the soil. This year, in February 2018, the Cuvée Petit Luce 2016 in red Sancerre was awarded a very nice Gold Medal at the Concours des Ligers in Angers! Similarly, the 2017 Sancerre Blanc Cuvée Le Clos de Chaudenay (Silver Medal), and the 2018 Sancerre Blanc (Bronze Medal) were awarded at the Concours Général Agricole de Paris.
The winemaker's pride
The Daniel Reverdy estate is located in the commune of Verdigny, in the heart of the Sancerre region. The domain exploits about 10 hectares in AOC Sancerre White, AOC Sancerre Red and AOC Sancerre Rosé. The parcels are essentially on white soil (clay-limestone), which brings complex and varied aromas to the wine. We find floral and fruity flavors with a pleasant minerality.
