Domaine de la Piffaudière is the story of an atypical estate in the Loire. Olivier, the winegrower, has been cultivating an 8-hectare vineyard located on the slopes of the Cher Valley in Monthou since 2008. Olivier is a bit like the winegrower who makes wines that are both precise and unique, made in organic viticulture.
The Loire winegrower methodically vinifies wines made from blends of various and varied grape varieties such as Chenin Noir, Cot, Gamay, Cabernet Franc or Chenin. All these efforts are guided by its guideline: "to produce wines with zero defects".
The work we do at La Piffaudière is the work of passionate people. I try to make my wines as accurately as possible to offer delicate and exceptional "tasting" experiences.
The golden rule is to ban all chemical inputs to reveal all the subtlety of the soil. The natural wines show a beautiful maturity and a particular balance that stands out from wines from classical viticulture. Nature, at the heart of everything, offers its best elixirs to delight our taste buds: it is the magic of the Loire terroirs.
These wines are quality products to offer to all your guests, whether or not they are initiated to natural wines. You can only get out of this experience if you are converted!
Many day travellers stop for a strategic break in our field. Rumour has it that the wine is offered as an infusion... It is also what makes the estate what it is today, these ephemeral encounters that inspire us and make us grow.
