Anecdotes about the domain

The Domaine de Sainte Marie has created a unique wine in the Jura. On the appellation L'Etoile, the domain produces "L'Ensemblage". Rare because it is the result of a subtle alliance of several grape varieties blended according to an old forgotten tradition of the winegrowers of L'Etoile from the XVIIIth century to which we have given new life, rare because it conveys values which express the fact of being TOGETHER: this wine of alliance of grape varieties calls for the meeting between friends. It is a blend that can be shared, TOGETHER, beyond the food and wine pairing.

The domain's short story

The domain has a cellar with underground cellars located in the heart of the vineyard of Arlay. 13 hectares of vineyards are exploited on :- Arlay with a parcel of 5.5 hectares in the place called "La Toupe aux loups" - L'Etoile with a parcel of 1.5 hectares in the place called "La Côtes des Vents" - Champagne-sur-Loue with a parcel of 1 hectare in the place called "Aux Peux" - Mantry with a parcel of 4.5 hectares in the place called "Les Narmois" Perrigny with a parcel of 50 ares in the place called "Les Prieuses

The de Sainte Marie family has been working the land and the vines for more than two centuries, and it is as a legacy of this past that Bertrand de Sainte Marie, his son Gaëtan and Nicolas Cottier have chosen to launch the Domaine de Sainte Marie and its signature wine "l'Ensemblage®", under the aegis of the Sainte Marie motto: "Fidelis, Fortisque Simul": faithful and strong at the same time.
