Located in Chalonnes-sur-Loire, in the heart of the black Anjou region, the Domaine des Coteaux Blancs takes its name from the sloping land on which white stones once nestled, but which have now disappeared. On these sunny hillsides (some of them reach more than 40% of slopes) we produce mainly great white wines, made from Chenin, but also some Anjou Rouge, Coteaux du Layon, Cabernet d'Anjou and Rosé de Loire on about twenty hectares: a palette of colored wines with a definitely Loire style.
The history of the Domaine des Coteaux Blancs goes back almost half a century. In 2022, Jannick Jarry & Co took over this magnificent estate, located in the foothills of the Corniche Angevine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Our vineyard covers more than 20 hectares with soils that are sometimes clayey-sandy on the hillsides, others mostly sandy composed of alluvial deposits made several million years ago, depending on the evolution of the geographical relief, but also schistose-sandstone on the plateaus adjoining the corniche.
It is with passion that we produce quality wines that reflect the beauty of the Angevins terroirs.
Our mission is the preservation of the environment, the respect of the biodiversity, the limitation of the inputs; in order to reflect as well as possible the complexity and the richness of our terroirs through a panel of wines produced in AOC, IGP, VDF and finally Crémant de Loire; where each of our vintages is unique
In conversion to organic farming for 3 years, 2024 will be our first harvest in organic farming, synonymous with our commitment.
