Since François Schwach who founded it in 1950, we are now in the third generation of winegrowers working on the estate. Originally François was a broker, he wanted to produce his wine and gradually became the owner of an Alsatian territory which is now the vineyard we know today. It was in 1975 that Philippe became the master of the estate and undertook to acquire new plots and modernize existing structures. It is through these changes that he respects the domain's commitment to high standards and quality. These values are now represented by Sébastien, a worthy heir to this know-how and also passionate!
These unique terroirs, including 4 great vintages: Osterberg, Schoenenenbourg, Rosacker and Kaefferkopf, are located around 7 communes in the heart of Alsace. Operated by Philippe and his wife Nathalie, then not joined their son in 2003, these lands are cultivated in a passionate and environmentally friendly way. Son and grandson of a winegrower, Philippe married Nathalie in 1978. This Parisian of origin and teacher of computer science and accounting at the Lycée de Ribeauvillé, definitively leaves education to take care of the family business Schwach. The eldest of their 3 children, Sébastien, son of a winegrower in his turn, will come to help his parents to acquire all the necessary skills to take over the estate. A beautiful story of family and passion that is not about to stop!
