The domain's short story
The Valambelle estate is an exclusively family-run business. The estate has 24 hectares of vines, 18 hectares of which were planted in the 1980s by Michel Abbal, the father of the estate, on one of the most schistose parts of the FAUGERES appellation, on steep, sunny slopes totally lost in the middle of nature. The harvest is entirely manual in boxes and sorted by hand when entering the cellar for an optimal selection of the berries. In the cellar, the wines are carefully elaborated by the fifth generation of winegrowers and winemakers Thierry Abbal assisted by his sister Marie.
