The domain's short story
The name of the Frey-Sohler estate comes from the association of grandfather Xavier Frey (born in 1902) and his son-in-law Charles Sohler, who together ran the family business. Today, the family farms about thirty hectares, including a grand cru and the increasingly recognized "Scherwiller" appellation communale. The quality of Frey-Sohler wines is illustrated by the awarding of multiple medals and its presence in numerous wine guides.
The winemaker's pride
Located in Scherwiller, the Frey-Sohler estate is the story of several generations linked to wine and the village. Today, two brothers, Nicolas and Damien, run the estate. Jean, the third brother of a sibling group of six children, also works there. Since 2015, the sixth generation has joined the family estate. Our estate is certified Terra Vitis.Terra Vitis is a network of several hundred winemakers from all French wine regions. They share the same love of a generous and living land, worked with respect.
