Owner of more than 65 hectares of vines, the Cattin family is one of the largest Alsatian family houses operating its own vineyard. Its parcels located in Grand Cru d'Alsace, AOC Crémant d'Alsace or AOC Alsace, are concentrated in three regions: in the commune of Voegtlinshoffen, around Steinbach and near Colmar.
Each generation of the CATTIN family has been working for Alsace wines since 1720, and Anaïs and Jacques CATTIN, son, currently at the head of the House, have decided to highlight the art of living in our region with the production of special vintages (organic, specific terroirs, some of which are in long ageing) and the opening of a new cellar, unique in Alsace, Le Belvédère CATTIN. This cellar, equipped with a panoramic wine bar, is a pioneer in quality wine tourism in Alsace. Associated with the magnificent vineyard built up over the years, this is a great pride for the CATTIN family and its latest victory.
For us, being a winegrower today means knowing how to apply historical and family know-how with an open mind acquired through personal experiences, especially trips and discoveries in other vineyards. Nature is the greatest source of inspiration; animals and plants alike teach us that we still have a lot to understand. There were several key people in our House; our great-grandfather JOSEPH CATTIN is one of them and worked with this philosophy close to nature by obtaining, at the time, a diploma for his "model vineyard". The vintages he has vinified are well hidden in our cellar! Our wines have kept this purity and this link to the terroir. Wine sharing and the related conviviality should always be at the heart of the Wine World and remain its essential!
