Anecdotes about the domain

For us, being a winemaker today means knowing how to apply the historical and family know-how with an open-mindedness acquired through personal experiences, especially through travels and discoveries in other vineyards. Nature is the greatest source of inspiration; animals as well as plants teach us that we still have many things to understand. Our great grandfather JOSEPH CATTIN is one of them and he worked with this philosophy close to nature, obtaining a diploma for his "model vineyard" at the time. The vintages he vinified are well hidden in our cellar! Our wines have kept this purity and this link to the land. The sharing of wine and the conviviality linked to it should always be at the heart of the World of Wine and remain its essential!

The domain's short story

Each generation of the CATTIN family has been working for the wines of Alsace since 1720. Anaïs and Jacques CATTIN son, currently at the head of the House, wanted to highlight the art of living in our region with the development of special vintages (organic, from specific terroirs, some with long aging) and the opening of a new cellar, unique in Alsace, Le Belvédère CATTIN. This cellar with its panoramic wine bar is a pioneer in quality wine tourism in Alsace. Combined with the magnificent vineyard built up over the years, it is a great pride for the CATTIN family and their latest victory.

The winemaker's pride

The Cattin family is one of the largest family-owned wineries in Alsace. Each generation has been working on the estate since 1720. Today, it is Anaïs and Jacques who are highlighting the Alsatian traditions with the elaboration of special vintages (organic, specific terroirs, long aging) and the opening of a cellar, Le Belvédère Cattin, equipped with a panoramic wine bar.
