Château Pré la Lande - Cuvée Diane - Rouge - 2016

Nature was particularly generous for this 2016 vintage. This is the first year that we practice biodynamics on 100% of the estate. The spring was relatively dry, the flowering of June was done in the best conditions; Result: a large number of beautiful bunches which required green harvesting in order to guarantee a quality and an optimal maturity. The harvest took place in excellent conditions and the grapes that filled our vats were magnificent. The color of this wine is a very dense red, the nose, after agitation is complex with scents of red and black fruits, cedar wood and vanilla. The attack in mouth is powerful, and elegant at the same time. The tannic structure is fine and dense. The finish is ample and suave and ends on notes of jammy fruits. Pleasant in its youth, this wine can be kept in the cellar for more than a decade without any problem. The word of the Winemaker, Michel Baucé :

Like all our wines, the Cuvée Diane was made with grapes from biodynamic agriculture harvested by hand. Only indigenous yeasts were used for fermentation. No input during the vinification. Aged 15 months in French oak barrels of the best origins. Only a very small dose of sulfites is added during bottling.
