The estate is the only wine-growing estate in the village, our parcels are planted on the hillsides that border the Moselle. Facing South-South-East with optimal conditions, the vines are grown on clay and limestone soils. Currently the farm has 4.8 hectares of vines and will convert all the vine plots to organic farming.
Initially, the farm was a farm where milk was produced. In 1990, when my father took over the estate, he decided to replant the vines with auxerrois, mullerthurgau and pinot blanc grapes. After the first vinification, in 1993 I decided to pursue viticulture studies in Alsace in order to contribute to the development of the estate. Meanwhile, my father continues to plant with the addition of pinots gris, pinots noir, chardonnay and the prestigious Gewurztraminer and Riesling grape varieties. It was in 2000 that I and my father started working together, continuing to develop the estate and the wines.
As I often say, we have moved from milk to wine. My father stopped producing milk with his cows in the 1980s to turn to vines and wine!
