All our winemakers in BordeauxThe Côtes-de-Bordeaux appellation is located on the right bank of the Gironde, Garonne and Dordogne rivers. This is the appellation common to all coastal vineyards (except Côtes-de-Bourg). Merlot is the main grape variety of these wines, but it can also be associated with other Bordeaux grape varieties.
The appellation a was created in 2009 by replacing the former appellations Côtes-de-Castillon, Premières-Côtes-de-Blaye and Bordeaux-Côtes-de-Francs.
The yields of white wines reach 72 hl/ha, while reds reach 65 hl/ha.
The wines of Côtes-de-Bordeaux draw their particularity from their hillside soil and the clay-limestone soils. On the red side, the nose is immediately revealed by fruit aromas. The palate is marked by spices and wood. Most of them seduce with their beautiful roundness. On the white side, the blend of grape varieties enchants with an explosion of flavours: from exotic fruits to citrus fruits. The wines are round with a nice length. The Côtes-de-Bordeaux enjoy a cellaring potential of 3 to 7 years.
