... exceptional. Pessac-Léognan, the starting point of Bordeaux wine growing, has a grape variety typical of the Bordeaux region and vines that stretch over 10 different municipalities (1639 hectares) that produce white or red wine. Its location is ideal due to its proximity to Bordeaux. The red colour, resulting from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, takes on purplish hues, and its dark colour announces a wine that can be kept and aged well. You will find its dark colour, with black cherry colours. On the nose, these wines have red or black fruit characteristics, very ripe, even in the youth of the wine. We also find aromas of violets, in the mouth this bouquet is completed by flavours of undergrowth (notes of roasted almonds and resin). It is structured and will take all its elegance after a few years of ageing, your tasting will only be better. Dry whites are complex wines. They are fresh and fruity, due to the dominance of Sauvignon in their grape variety. Among the best known, Château Haut-Brion, which is the only unclassified first growth of 1855, not from the Médoc. Domain which was created by Jean de Pontac more than 400 years ago (16th century) and his descendants Elisabeth and Slanie de Pontac are still present in the region today at Château de Myrat. If you wish to become one of their customers and make a purchase (in delivery) of Pessac-Léognan for your cellar, you can find here the articles of Château Seguin, classified several times in the hatchet guide. But also Château de Léognan, taken over in 2007 by Philippe and Chantal Miecaze and maintained in the past by its neighbour, Domaine de Chevalier (Grand Cru Classé des Graves). These two places run by winegrowers have their own history, it is also quite possible to visit them in order to see and appreciate this superb estate.
