Everything You Need to Know About Bandol
Bandol is one of Provence's most renowned wine regions. Its reputation is based primarily on its age-worthy red wines, which are among the most full-bodied in the Mediterranean region.
The flagship grape variety is Mourvèdre, which must account for at least 50% of the blends. It produces powerful, tannic, and complex wines with aromas of black fruit, spices, and animal notes, which come into their own after several years of aging. Bandol rosés are among the most food-friendly in Provence.
