Everything You Need to Know About Côtes de Thau
The Côtes de Thau is a Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) from the Hérault coast, encompassing the Thau basin and the area around Sète. This unique terroir, situated between the sea and the lagoon, produces white and rosé wines with a distinctive maritime freshness, perfect for pairing with local oysters and seafood.
Picpoul de Pinet is the star of the Thau coastal whites, but other Mediterranean grape varieties contribute to the diversity of this PGI. These are light, refreshing wines that reflect the bright, lake-side landscape.
