Domaine de l'Envol is above all the symbiosis of two estates and several human stories. On one side, the family vineyard of Bernard, Manuela, Daniel, and Catherine Hirsinger; on the other, Maison Jean Freudenreich, taken over and passionately managed by Raphaël Marchal. Both pioneers of bottled wine sales, they chose in 2016 to join forces and create a single estate, true to their shared values. Authenticity first, with vines cultivated biodynamically, without chemicals, respecting all living things. Conviviality second, by pooling their expertise, experience, and vision of wine. Here, the objective is simple: to bottle living grapes, using natural methods and without artifice, to preserve the integrity of the varietal. They love wines that are honest, straightforward, and delicious, with flavor and substance. What truly motivates them is also mutual support and sharing, the cornerstones of the winemaking world: advice, shared tools, and the passing down of knowledge between winemakers. On a mosaic of terroirs spanning some twenty hectares, Raphaël, Daniel, and Catherine craft wines with a strong identity, capable of evoking as much emotion in tasting as they feel every day producing their wines.
