Valentin Moindrot was born and raised at the Domaine de Loye in Morogues, which allowed him to witness the estate’s evolution and expansion driven by technological advancements. From a very young age, he decided to become a winemaker, motivated by a desire to work in close contact with the nature that had surrounded him since childhood.

At Domaine de Loye, the wines are crafted to be simple, light, and fruity: wines meant to be enjoyed, easy to drink, that emphasize sharing and authenticity. Every step, from the vineyard to winemaking, is carried out with passion to ensure high-quality wines, free from artifice or unnecessary formalities.

Since returning to the estate, Valentin has done everything in his power to live up to the saying: “A healthy vine is the guarantee of a quality wine.” The slopes have been grassed to limit vine vigor and erosion, and yields are gradually being controlled to promote optimal ripeness across the plots. Harvesting begins plot by plot based on ripening progress, and green harvesting is practiced when conditions allow.

The estate, which spans 15 hectares and is run by Jean-Bernard Moindrot and his son Valentin, benefits from clay-limestone soils and an ideal hillside exposure. These conditions give rise to aromatic, light, and pleasant wines that reflect the estate’s philosophy: meticulous work dedicated to producing authentic and approachable wines.
