GRIVOT-GOISOT Estate
Located in Saint-Bris-le-Vineux, in the heart of the Auxerrois wine region, Domaine Grivot-Goisot is steeped in a long winemaking history, documented as early as the 15th century in this area. The estate, as it exists today, truly took shape after the Second World War, before being passed down through generations of the Goisot family. In 2020, Anaëlle Goisot and René Grivot took over the family business and ensure its continued success.
The vineyard covers approximately 26 hectares, spread across several emblematic appellations of northern Burgundy: Saint-Bris, Chablis, Chablis Premier Cru, Bourgogne Côte d'Auxerre, and Bourgogne Aligoté. Saint-Bris is a regional anomaly, as it is the only Burgundy appellation that allows Sauvignon Blanc, cultivated here on Kimmeridgian limestone soils similar to those of Chablis.
Vineyard management is based on sustainable viticulture, with particular attention paid to soil preservation, yield management, and grape ripeness. Cultivation practices aim to respect the natural balance of the plots while utilizing modern technical tools when this allows for greater precision and consistency.
In the cellar, winemaking is carried out with a focus on aromatic clarity and precision. The white wines favor clean, taut profiles, supported by a structuring acidity and a faithful expression of the grape variety and terroir. Aging is carefully controlled to preserve the wines' energy without masking their origin. All the wines offer a clear and consistent interpretation of the Auxerrois terroirs, balancing freshness, directness, and mineral expression.
Domaine Grivot-Goisot thus establishes itself as a representative address of this still discreet sector of Burgundy, where the singularity of the appellations and the family continuity allow a precise and sincere reading of the local vineyard.
