Marcillac

Marcillac is a little-known appellation in the Aveyron region, formerly owned by the monks of Conques, which produces red wines almost exclusively from the local Mansois (or Fer Servadou) grape variety. This variety yields wines of remarkable character and originality.

Marcillac wines are distinguished by their aromas of raspberry, violet, and pepper, as well as their crisp, lively tannins. Their sharp natural acidity makes them highly versatile with food, perfect with Aveyron charcuterie and red meats.
