Quincy

Situated midway between the Loire and Burgundy regions, the Quincy wine region spans the left bank of the Cher river. Its terroir is primarily composed of Sauvignon Blanc, which may be complemented by Sauvignon Gris. The vineyard covers an area of 230 hectares, with an annual production of 10,500 hectoliters. Vineyard plots are situated at an altitude of 125 meters, on the viticultural plateaus overlooking the Loire Valley. The climate is typically dry and warm, characterized by sandy and gravelly soils. Planting density must always exceed 5,500 vines per hectare, and the wine is pressed as soon as possible after harvest. Only dry white wines are produced here. Visually, Quincy wines present an elegant pale gold hue. On the nose, this dry white wine reveals aromas of boxwood, bud, undergrowth, and nuances of white flowers. The palate offers notes of spice, apple, blackcurrant bud, and honey. Its intense freshness and finesse are derived from its sole grape variety, Sauvignon. It pairs well with seafood (oysters, crustaceans), fish, or local cheeses.
