Everything You Need to Know About Vacqueyras
Vacqueyras is a wine-growing region in the southern Rhône, located at the foot of the Dentelles de Montmirail. Elevated to the status of a wine-growing region in 1990, it produces reds, rosés, and whites with beautiful depth on soils of rounded pebbles and sand.
Dominated by Grenache and Syrah, Vacqueyras reds are full-bodied, spicy, and rich, with aromas of black fruit, garrigue, and pepper. Less well-known than their neighbors Gigondas and Châteauneuf-du-Pape, they offer excellent value for money.
