Vignobles Francois Lurton

Roussillon | France

At the foot of the Quéribus cliff in Roussillon, Mas Janeil is the most personal expression of François Lurton—the fifth generation of a family that has become one of France’s leading wine producers. Situated on a geological fault line that creates an exceptional diversity of soils (granite, limestone, schist), 30 hectares of vineyards cultivated using methods close to biodynamics produce structured, sometimes unconventional wines in which freshness and texture take center stage.

The Lurton family, originally from the Bordeaux region, went on to develop vineyards in South America. In our selection, it was their Italian, Chilean, and Argentine wines that won us over—a testament to their expertise in adapting to radically different terroirs.
