Muscadet Sèvre Et Maine | White | 2024

The "DOMAINE DE LA PÉPIÈRE" cuvée is made from 25-year-old vines rooted in well-drained granite soils, which promote early ripening of the grapes. This wine is the product of organic and biodynamic farming, without herbicides or synthetic chemicals. The grapes are harvested by hand and carefully transported to the winery for natural vinification on the lees until the following spring.

Our opinion on the vintage

This luminous wine is immediately distinguished by its pale gold color with silvery highlights. The nose reveals subtle aromas of lemon zest and damp chalk. The palate is a veritable symphony of vivacity and tension, enlivened by a pronounced and refreshing acidity. Balance is found in its fine, crystalline texture, reminiscent of spring water, enriched with a citrusy and mineral aromatic profile. The remarkably pure finish leaves a saline and chalky imprint, with a slight, thirst-quenching astringency.

Bourgogne | France

La Pépière often begins with the soil: granite, gabbro, orthogneiss… each cuvée tells a story of geology. In Maisdon-sur-Sèvre, the Melon de Bourgogne expresses itself with rare clarity, supported by extended aging on the lees, which adds volume without heaviness. The wines retain a crystalline profile, imbued with precise tension and subtle salinity. Their consistency is impressive, as is their aging potential thanks to a perfectly maintained balance.
