Anecdotes about the domain

The vineyards of the estate are located on the "Haut" Pian, at the place called RIGAL. Cradled by the west winds and the wildlife on the foothills of the Garonne, we produce with the help of four generations (great-grandmother, grandparents, children and grandchildren) fruity wines of character, hence the emblem of the Lion in a grape berry.

The domain's short story

At the age of 30, Marielle Baissas wanted to take over from her parents after studying agricultural engineering and starting a career in the food industry in Brittany, and from the moment I arrived, I wanted to create a range of fresher wines: fruity and elegant wines to taste during moments of conviviality. Concerned about environmental aspects, I am part of the "High Environmental Value" approach through my farming practices: Château Haut Rigal, "Le vin qui a mangé du lion"

Château Haut Rigal, the wine that has eaten the lion...Château Haut Rigal, it is 6 successive generations of winegrowers in Bordeaux and Graves appellations... Located in Pian sur Garonne in the South Gironde, we are on the slopes overlooking the Garonne. Concerned to make the most of this terroir and its sunshine, we combine modern techniques and the experience of generations to produce gourmet wines that are authentic, elegant, fruity and friendly, the characteristics of our wines that we wish to share.
