Château le Payral is a family estate on a human scale: the vineyard covers some 15 hectares, all of which are farmed organically and biodynamically.
Anecdotes about the domain
We have always been committed to the environmental cause and are now replanting hedges on the estate. We have already replanted nearly 800 trees and shrubs since 2020.
The domain's short story
In 1992, Thierry took over the family estate with the ambition of selling all the wines of the estate in bottles. Today, we sell about 80,000 bottles in France and in several European countries and on other continents! After a few years of working with sustainable agriculture, the conversion to organic farming was an obvious choice. It is in 2005 that the conversion starts. Very quickly, biodynamic farming was also applied. We are particularly proud of our vintages without sulfites and our white wine of maceration!
