The 96ha vineyard is spread over and around the hill called "le Pech" surrounded by garrigue, on a clay and limestone soil. We are fortunate to have two different terroirs which allows us to produce traditional AOP La Clape wines on the hill, and fruitier wines with Vins de Pays d'Oc on the plain, bordered by the Aude. We work the land with respect for the environment by using more efficient tools and a strong team in the vineyard. Our climate is both humid with the maritime contributions and dry with the wind of the North or Cers which dries our vines thus allowing us to cleanse and escape certain diseases. We are in one of the sunniest and windiest regions of France so our wines are full of sunshine and the subtle work of blending gives them freshness.
Property in the Saint-Exupéry family for 5 generations, we can say that at Pech-Céleyran the family is a chance and our strength! Now, brothers and sisters take an active part in the development activities initiated by our parents, Jacques and Anita de Saint-Exupéry. In addition to the vineyard, wine tourism has become an important part of our daily life since the year 2000 with 4 reception areas and 5 winegrower's cottages and since 2014, 4 guest rooms. We regularly organize events that associate art and music with wine through concerts and exhibitions of paintings and sculptures.
Wine is a story of family and sharing. What could be more natural and friendly than a glass of wine around a table with people we love and what's more, in our beautiful region where the sun shines! It is also to extend these convivial moments that we have opened our domain and our house!
Whether we like fruity wines with the Cuvée Ombline or more structured wines like the Cuvée Céleste, our wines remain wines of pleasure because we are the first consumers!!!!
The tasting cellar located in our hundred-year-old vat cellar is a magical environment to discover our wines and local products (homemade jams, oil, vinegar, beer, tapenade etc...)
