We have always been passionate about wine, which for us is the result of the work of Man and the generosity of Nature. Wine is certainly the most sophisticated expression of agriculture! The opportunity to create the domain was seized at a propitious moment of our career, with all our energy, passion, and without any regret. We love our wine! It is greedy, generous, intense, it is a wine of the Southwest! It reflects our passions, our lives, our desire to share and offer pleasure. It looks like us, it is us, we hope it will be you. What we like in the world of wine? the people who make it up, philosophers and bon vivants, as well as the magic of the land! The domain's short story
We (Véronique and Frédéric) created the estate from scratch in 2006 by planting vines on the family land that had until then only known cereal crops, convinced that this magnificent hillside could produce great wines. The adventure began immediately in organic farming, out of the conviction that a respectfully cultivated land will always give us the best of itself. In 2017, we are taking the step of biodynamics, to go a little further in the "natural" way of making wine. And in 2018, our daughter Pauline joins us to work at the estate and makes the adventure a little more family friendly!
The winemaker's pride
Welcome to Marmande! Our beautiful region of the Garonne Valley is a land well known for its tomatoes, and now also for its wines! Here is a foretaste of the joys you can find at Domaine de Beyssac (AOP Côtes du Marmandais), a family estate that enjoys a fantastic location on the hillside of Beyssac, right bank of the Garonne, which offers us a south-facing clay-limestone soil, as well as an exceptional view of the valley of our dear river and the city of Marmande. We grow Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and also abouriou, our native grape variety which is our pride and joy. To sublimate what Mother Nature has given us, what better way to cultivate the soil and the vine than biodynamics? A practice that is respectful and harmonious, allowing us to transcribe our terroir into the bottle, to the delight of the senses. We attach great importance to minimizing the impact of our activity on our environment. For this, we go a little further in our practices: the animals benefit from protective hedges around certain plots, a basin of reeds and sand makes it possible to treat waste water, the harvest is manual, the dry matter is chosen with the greatest care...
