Anecdotes about the domain
For us, being winemakers means being sensitive to the personality of each terroir, listening to the vine. Vincent and Catherine are united in two common passions: wine and music, passions that require hard work, but above all that give us immense pleasure.
The domain's short story
Emmanuel, belonging to the fifth generation, joined his parents Vincent and Catherine, on the Domaine from the 2014 harvest. We share together the passion of the vine and the beautiful wines. We work as a family to transmit our know-how in the search for a viticulture that listens to nature and the terroirs, and a vinification that listens to the wines. Thus, we replant the vines on the most beautiful terroirs of Anjou that we have carefully selected for their great personality.
The winemaker's pride
Domaine Ogereau is located in the heart of the Coteaux du Layon in Anjou. Family estate since 5 generations, we are wine growers craftsmen. Anjou is a mosaic of soils: schist, sandstone, volcanic rocks ... and landscapes. Our history is of course that of the great sweet and syrupy white wines made from overripe grapes, but Chenin also allows us to produce highly expressive dry white wines in the Anjou and Savennières appellations. We also have a very beautiful vineyard of Cabernet on schists where we produce very beautiful red wines in appellation Anjou and Anjou Villages as well as a Cabernet d'Anjou rosé, a speciality of Anjou.
