All our winemakers in LoireThe wines of Anjou-Villages are characterized by their frank attack and pronounced taste. Only red wines can be kept for eight to ten years, and are to be decanted before tasting to deliver all their aromas. Their power comes from their two grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.
The Anjou-Villages vineyard is on a hillside, planted on hot and humid soils.
It covers 135 hectares and produces 9,600 hectolitres per year. The vinification process involves prolonged maturation in vats to obtain structured and harmonious wines.
The anjou-villages has an intense red colour reminiscent of ripe cherries. The nose delivers aromas of liquorice, undergrowth and red and black fruits. The anjou-villages are distinguished by their fleshy character. With a good balance between tannins and alcohol, this wine has a good length on the palate.
