Our opinion on the vintage

At first glance, this Cabernet Franc captivates with its delicate pink hue. The fine, fresh nose immediately evokes raspberry and damp chalk, enriched by a subtle creamy note. On the palate, the experience oscillates between richness and balance, carried by a delicate tension that instantly draws the palate. The light, creamy bubbles add a pleasing depth, while generous red fruits harmonize with invigorating spices. The long, vibrant finish combines the acidity of lemon and Morello cherry with the slight bitterness of grapefruit and chalk, offering a lingering and inspired final note.

In Brézé and Saint-Cyr-en-Bourg, Arnaud Lambert works some of the most emblematic limestone terroirs of the Saumur region. This diversity of soils allows him to explore contrasting expressions of Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Franc, with particular attention paid to the purity of the profiles and the precision of the balance.

The grapes are rigorously ripened to preserve the fruit's vibrancy and a clean structure. The white wines are distinguished by a marked tension and a precise mineral expression, while the reds favor gentle extractions, resulting in fine textures and well-integrated tannins. Aging is tailored to each cuvée and vintage, always designed to complement the wine without influencing its style.

The entire body of work from the estate offers a clear and refined interpretation of these Loire Valley terroirs, with wines built on accuracy, precision and the ability to faithfully translate their origin.
