Bourgueil

Bourgueil is an appellation in the Touraine region of the Loire Valley, dedicated entirely to Cabernet Franc. Grown on tuffeau limestone and gravel soils, Bourgueil wines are characterized by their lightness, freshness, and aromas of raspberry, bell pepper, and violet.

Depending on their terroir, Bourgueil wines can vary greatly: vines grown on tuffeau soil produce softer, more floral wines, while those on gravel produce more structured wines. A wine perfect for dining, especially with grilled red meats.
