Located in the western Loire Valley, in La Chapelle-Heulin, Domaine Bonnet-Huteau boasts a long viticultural history, with wine production on the site spanning over 150 years. The estate, structured in its current form in 1959, has been managed by Jean-Jacques Bonnet and his family since the 1980s.

The vineyard, spanning approximately 40 hectares, is cultivated organically, with certification obtained in 2009, and subsequently managed biodynamically. Viticultural practices aim to preserve soil balance and vine vitality in a region characterized by complex terroirs, particularly around the Goulaine crus. Individual parcels are vinified separately to highlight the nuances associated with specific soils and exposures.

The wines, made primarily from Melon de Bourgogne grapes, aim to capture the terroir with precision, with particular attention paid to the wines’ tension, depth, and clarity of character. Winemaking and aging are carried out with meticulous care, without resorting to artificial techniques, in order to allow the grapes’ natural structure to shine through.

The estate is now recognized as a benchmark for Muscadet wines, thanks to its consistency and its ability to produce structured, refined wines that remain true to the identity of La Chapelle-Heulin and its terroirs.
