The Hautes Côtes de Nuits stretch across the hills of the Côte de Nuits, extending into the Burgundian hinterland. These high-altitude vineyards produce light, delicate Pinot Noir wines, as well as a few white wines made from Chardonnay and Aligoté.

Fresher and less concentrated than the major neighboring appellations, the Hautes Côtes de Nuits offer an accessible expression of Burgundy’s character. With aromas of red fruit and a supple, fresh palate, these are straightforward wines, ideal for an introduction to the Côte de Nuits.
