The Hautes Côtes de Beaune extend across the plateaus and back-slopes of the Côte de Beaune, at higher altitudes. These areas produce light and fruity Pinot Noir and fresh, mineral Chardonnay at more accessible prices than the Côte appellations.

These wines, produced on exposed limestone soils, offer a welcome freshness and lightness. Less concentrated than Côte de Beaune village wines, they compensate with their vibrancy and accessibility. A good introduction to the world of Burgundy wines.
