The 40-year-old vines grow in silty-sandy soils with a subsoil of Paleozoic schist, providing exceptional raw material. Winemaking involves hand-harvesting, essential for optimal carbonic maceration. This wine is fermented with indigenous yeasts and is not chaptalized, guaranteeing rare aromatic purity. A very small addition of sulfur, only at bottling, ensures its stability, with a total SO₂ of 38 mg/l, well below the standards.

In Anjou, Domaine de La Grange aux Belles offers a deliberately free and unconventional interpretation of Loire Valley grape varieties. Cabernet Franc is crafted here in a crisp and supple style, favoring fruit expression over structure. Grolleau, a grape variety long marginalized, is vinified directly, highlighting its natural lightness. Chenin Blanc can express itself in profiles that are more delicate than sharp, depending on the cuvée and the desired balance.
