The domain's short story
Domaine Enclos de la Croix was created in 1814. About 40 years ago, they decided to change the grape varieties from Carignan and Aramon to Cabernet, Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Manseng. Eight generations have succeeded one another in running the 25 hectares of the Domaine, the vinification of this production and its marketing. Today, 200 years after its creation, they remain the artisans of this formidable heritage, modernizing it over the years. As the owner of the domain, Mr. Frézouls, would say: "We are borrowing this land from our children, it is precious, let's protect it". This is why they have turned to a gentle cultivation of the soil: no chemical fertilizers, no pesticides, organic winemaking and the production of wines without sulfites. Everything is done to preserve biodiversity.
