A beautiful garnet colour with a nose marked by ripe fruit (cherry, redcurrant) in the background with chocolate, woody and discreet notes. Elegant palate, polished structure, silky tannins, generous and persistent fruit. A beautiful vintage. A fresh, fine, full-bodied wine with silky, powerful tannins. A beautiful concentration of cherry and jam notes.
The word of the Winemaker, Jean d Antras :
The excellence of Magence, a wine typical of the Graves, is reflected in this 2009 vintage aged in oak barrels. 4 weeks of vinification by separate grape varieties in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats followed by 14 months of maturation, including 12 months in French oak barrels renewed by a third.
