Its colour is intense ruby with garnet tendencies, its aromas are complex, red fruit and undergrowth, musk and torrefied. Having stayed for a year and a half in barrels where it has rounded off and found its maturity, it is fine and powerful at the same time, with its tannins present but very fine. It is long in the mouth and does not end with any bitterness.
. The word Moréote is the former name of Pinot Noir which was common throughout the northern part of wine-growing Europe, fashion has dethroned it in favour of its current name (See " L'Ampélographie des Vins d'Alsace " by Jean Louis Stoltz).
This wine is dry and pleases itself in gastronomy, the marriage with the dishes indicates the scope of its personality.
I recommend it with delicate meats such as small game, roe deer, wild boar etc. With lamb or offal, kidneys or sweetbreads. We can continue on the cheeses....
