Le Manoir des Schistes - secret marchands, vin sec. vin de pays côtes catalanes - Rouge - 2016

Second production of dry wine for the estate. A wine that is still very Grenache, with a fresher and denser attack for this vintage. This wine is quickly appreciated with notes of red fruit, plum and cinnamon. The silky tannins bring a structure associated with cocoa and coffee aromas for a beautiful complexity and length in the mouth. The menthol that is quite typical of our sweet wines is found at the end of the palate.

The word of the Winemaker, :

A beautiful balance between freshness and density that makes this vintage a wine to drink and keep.

The Wine Estate

A CULTURAL AND GENERATIONAL ASSEMBLY - Located on a mound of deep black schist at 350 metres above sea level, Le Secret des Marchands is produced solely from a parcel of black Grenache, the king grape variety in the region. These vines "have no age": they were already planted when the vineyard register was created in the area, they are more than 90 years old. Cut into cups, they produce little. The return....
