Chandon de Briailles
Savigny-les-Beaune white wine Les Saucours 2021
Savigny-Lès-Beaune | White | 2021
Produced using certified organic and biodynamic methods, the Savigny-les-Beaune white Les Saucours is a wine where Chardonnay thrives in clay-limestone soils. Cultivated on a small plot of less than 0.6 hectares, the nine-year-old vines yield a controlled harvest of 35 hectoliters per hectare. After fermentation in oak barrels, aging in demi-muids for 15 to 18 months adds complexity and elegance.

Our opinion on the vintage
From the first sip, this wine captivates with its delightfully fresh and mineral bouquet, followed by subtle floral notes reminiscent of a Burgundian spring. On the palate, its balanced structure and silky texture reveal a harmony between vivacity and roundness, beautifully enhanced by oak aging, which adds depth without masking the fruit. This wine offers immediate pleasure now, but also promises delightful surprises after a few years of cellaring.

Chandon de Briailles
Bourgogne | France
A historic estate in Savigny-lès-Beaune, Chandon de Briailles cultivates its vines biodynamically and crafts wines in a remarkably pure style. The Pinot Noirs benefit from gentle extraction and judicious aging, resulting in delicate red fruit, a tight structure, and a consistent finish. The white wines display restrained tension and a precise texture. In short: exacting standards and finesse. The estate remains a benchmark of the Côte de Beaune.
