The jewel of the Beaujolais region, the village of Chiroubles is nestled in a natural cirque. No clowns or trapeze artists here—the wines of Chiroubles are the result of expertise and hard work that’s no laughing matter! The village produces exclusively red wine, made from the Gamay Noir grape variety, typical of the Beaujolais region. Its red color isn’t the deepest of wines; it offers aromas of raspberries, red berries, and violet flowers… On the palate, its roundness asserts itself from the start, and its finesse confirms the character of its exceptional terroir. Red berries are the dominant aroma of Chiroubles in its early years, but it can be cellared for up to 10 years!
